Facilities and guest rooms

Can I smoke inside the hotel?
All public areas inside the hotel are non-smoking apart from the smoking rooms. Please only smoke in the smoking rooms. Please ask the front desk staff for details. Please note that cigarettes aren't sold in the hotel.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes, you can.
However, please note that cooking inside the rooms is strictly prohibited.
Can pets stay too?
Pets aren't allowed in any of the facilities. However, guide dogs and service dogs are allowed. Please tell the reception desk in advance.
Do you have non-smoking rooms?
Yes, we do.
Do you have yukata or pajamas?
We have yukata. We also have yukata for kids, but they aren't put in the rooms by default, so please ask for them when you check in.
Can I use the Internet in the guest rooms?
Yes, you can. Free Internet access is available in the guest rooms, lobby, restaurant, etc. via Wi-Fi.
What kinds of amenities and rental items do you have?

Do you have accessibility rooms?
We have one room. However, please note the following:
There are steps in the bathroom.
The bathtub is quite high.
Your legs won't fit under the sink if you're in a wheelchair.
You can't wash your face.
Do you have a hot spring or communal bath?
We don't have a hot spring or communal bath.
There's a hot spring facility called Kurhaus Iwataki a 2-minute walk from our hotel.
We give staying guests bath tickets to use the communal bath (naked bathing) free of charge. You can get tickets as many times as you like during your stay.

How far in advance can I make a reservation?
We accept them up to 1 year in advance. Reception hours for taking reservations are 6:30 to 22:30. (Open every day.)
Can you put me on a waiting list?
Sorry, we can't do that.
When do cancellation fees start to apply?
Cancellation fees apply starting on the day before your stay.
[Day before: 20%. On the day: 80%. No-show: 100%.]
However, reservations for groups, ones made through travel agencies, etc. will follow their own terms and conditions. Please inquire for details.
What's the accommodation fee for children?
It varies depending on the accommodation plan (for example, accommodation-only, breakfast included, or dinner and breakfast included).

Accommodation is free for children of elementary school age and under if they share a bed with an adult.
(One child per adult.) In this case, no towels, amenities, etc. will be included for them, so please bring your own. There will be separate fees for any additional meals, etc.

Checking in and Out and Paying

What time is check-in / check-out?
Check-in opens at 15:00, and check-out closes at 11:00.
Can I leave my luggage before checking in and after checking out?
We'll keep them in the front desk cloakroom. Please ask at the front desk on the day.
 Also, if you're traveling by public transport, you can leave your luggage at the souvenir shop Chiekurabe in front of Amanohashidate Station. It'll be free of charge if you tell them you're going to stay at Hashidate Bay Hotel, or have been staying there. You can also get a 10% discount on souvenirs.
Do I need to present my passport?
Yes, you do.
We ask all guests to present their passports when they check in, and we'll make a copy of them.
Do you have a curfew?
We lock the hotel at midnight. Please contact us if you're going to check in later than 22:00

Do you have parking spaces? Are they free of charge? Can I reserve one?
We have parking spaces for 100 cars. They're free of charge.
Use is on a first-come, first-served basis, so we don't take reservations.

Do you have a shuttle bus service?
Yes, we do. You reserve it in advance. The timetable is as follows:

Can I get breakfast?
We serve a Japanese/Western buffet.
Fee: Adults: 1,650 yen; children aged 6 to elementary students: 1,155 yen; children aged 3-5: 825 yen; babies aged 0-2: free.

What's the minimum price for dinner?
Set menus are available from 1,100 yen, and course meals from 3,300 yen.
There's also an a la carte menu, so solo travelers can also dine worry-free.

Can I bring my own alcohol or other drinks?
Sorry, but we don't allow food or drinks to be brought into the restaurant.
However, you can bring weaning food, etc. for babies.
Do you serve Japanese food?
Sorry, but there's nowhere in the hotel that serves Japanese food. We only have a creative French restaurant.
If you want Japanese food, the front desk will tell you about some restaurants nearby.

Can I send my luggage in advance?
We can keep it in the front desk cloakroom for up to two days before you come.

Do you have a luggage delivery service?
We offer that at the front desk. (Kuroneko Yamato package-delivery service, Sagawa Express, and Yu-Pack.)
Reception hours are from 7:00 to 22:00. We also sell delivery cases, so please feel free to ask.
  • Note: There's one collection a day, at around 15:00. Please note that if you give us your luggage after that, it'll be sent the next day.

There's a FamilyMart about a 3-minute drive or 10-minute walk away. There's also a supermarket and drug store in the neighborhood.
